Flood & Coast 2017 photo review

By Peter Fitzgibbon - 21st April 2017 - 20:02

Organised by Trio Events and staged over three days in late April, Flood & Coast 2017 hosted visitors from home and abroad at The International Centre in Telford.

This second such event, the first of which was held last year in response to the devastating winter floods of 2015/2016, again saw the Environment Agency taking a lead role in both the conference and exhibition. As well as attracting key stakeholders from the flood and coastal erosion risk management (FCRM) community, including local authorities, to conference sessions featuring more than 150 top speakers, the accompanying exhibition was supported by some 80 organisations. These were busy promoting a range of civil engineering, software and data-based solutions with which to assess, analyse and minimise the risk of flooding.
