Commercial UAV Show, London. Photo Roundup

By Peter Fitzgibbon - 29th November 2017 - 17:13

Billed as Europe's main marketplace for everything UAV, the 4th Commercial UAV Show opened its doors to 3,000 visitors at London's ExCel Exhibition centre in mid-November

The two-day event, organised by Terrapinn and sponsored by Airbus, featured a paid VIP Conference at which delegates explored the current and future impact of UAVs in various commercial sectors and heard in-depth technical presentations on the most significant new UAV technologies. Also under discussion were issues relating to regulation, a timely topic given the UK government’s drone code issued last year1 and the requirement, announced earlier this year, for users of drones weighing 250 grams and over to register and sit safety awareness tests2.

Alongside the conference was an exhibition supported by 90+ commercial, public sector and academic organisations; a flying zone with demonstrations mounted by senseFly, Multirotor and Yuneec; a start-up zone, and more than 30 free-to-attend daily seminars hosted in theatres dedicated to mapping and GIS, emergency services, and UAV innovation respectively.

Our photo roundup sought out some of the latest developments on show.

Next year’s Commercial UAV Show will, again, be staged at the London ExCel, 14-15 November 2018. More at https://www.terrapinn.com/exhibition/the-commercial-uav-show/
