Industry experts and leading organisations from around the world will display, demonstrate and debate the remarkable impact geospatial technology and solutions are having on our global environment at GEO Business 2019, taking place at The Business Design Centre, London from 21-22 May.

GEO Business focusses on the technology that underpins many 21st century networks and systems, from 5G phones, construction and utilities to heritage and coastal and marine – all of which rely on up-to-date geospatial data and technologies. The show will feature these and many other technologies and applications that capture, process and use the data. Sectors such as Highways, Architecture, Engineering and Asset Management will feature at the event, as well as new applications in areas such as disaster relief, locating sanitation in the developing world, and commercial retail developments.

200+ international exhibitors

At the heart of the show is a free-to-attend international exhibition where visitors can meet face-to-face with the world’s leading suppliers of geospatial products and services. Attendees can keep up-to-date with the latest advances in geospatial technology and be the first to see product launches from across the globe. The 2019 exhibition will include a larger Drone Zone, four additional open seminar theatres, and a brand-new Marine Zone alongside the Start Up and Education zones, both of which will be returning this year.

Cutting-edge seminars

The seminar programme, featuring 97 presentations in 22 cutting-edge sessions, is designed to demonstrate the remarkable impact geospatial technologies and solutions are having on our global environment. It will incorporate case studies presented by leading industry experts that clearly demonstrate increased productivity and reduced cost as a result. This year’s free-to-attend seminar programme has a focus on speakers who rely on strong evidence-based ideas. Sessions include presentations on non-traditional uses of geospatial data, the latest developments in visualisation, advances in satellite imagery, Big Data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and much more. Strategic-level conference

This year’s conference of invited speakers will highlight how geospatial is at the heart of UK government policy supporting future economic growth. New for 2019, the free-to-attend will ensure that everyone has an opportunity to keep abreast of these critical developments.

Popular social activities

Running alongside the exhibition is a schedule of innovative social activities designed for informal networking with colleagues old and new. These include welcome drinks the night before the show and the popular ale trail which takes place on the show floor. New for 2019 are two Geospatial Awards which will be presented at the GEO Business annual dinner held at the home of the famous Arsenal football team, The Emirates Stadium.

New for 2019: GeoDATA Forum

Co-located with GEO Business 2019, the GeoDATA Forum combines an exhibition and seminar sessions for professionals involved with geospatial data software and services. This new event will see a dual track of speakers and keynotes delivering thought-provoking talks on a wide range of GIS-related issues. Visitors can explore the very latest in location intelligence, with sessions featuring case studies on how GIS is used to capture, store, manipulate, analyse, manage and present spatial or geographic data.
