Elsevier announced that select content from some of the American Geophysical Unionâs (AGU) leading journals is now available in Geofacets. This addition of 80,000 maps will further increase the amount of essential geological information in the database, helping geoscientists make more informed interpretations and gain greater confidence in their recommendations and decisions regarding investments in new exploration opportunities. Content to be added to Geofacets includes maps from around the globe, ranging from geologic to those with more specialized disciplines, such as tectonics, geophysics, geochemistry and oceanography. Geofacets is a geoscience solution that enables comprehensive, in-depth research of subsurface geology. By providing georeferenced maps from trusted scientific sources that can be seamlessly integrated into GIS, modelling and presentation software, geoscientists will be able to enhance their geologic knowledge and insight. This integration will increase Geofacetsâ content portfolio to more than 550,000 maps by the end of 2015. ⨠â¨
