Silicon Sensing Systems Ltd celebrates its 20th anniversary with the signing of a new 10-year agreement that will continue this Anglo-Japanese joint venture (JV) through to the end of 2029. The JV, between Sumitomo Precision Products and Collins Aerospace, has experienced over 40% business growth since early 2016. Interest in their rugged, high performance inertial sensing technologies has grown as precision motion sensing has become a key issue across an ever-broadening range of markets. Silicon Sensing Systems has already supplied its unique, patented micro-electro mechanical systems (MEMS) technology for use in navigation and stabilisation systems operating in areas as diverse as subsea mapping and rail track surveying, space stabilisation and agricultural robotics. To cater for increasing demand Silicon Sensing Systems has recently moved its UK operation to new, larger premises and is transferring elements of the Japanese operation to new facilities. www.siliconsensing.com
