A new chapter in aviation history

By [email protected] - 18th March 2016 - 16:51

Following the introduction of a UAS flight zone at INTERGEO 2014 in Berlin and last year’s première of the interaerial SOLUTIONS topic platform in Stuttgart, this year’s INTERGEO in Hamburg will be the first to stage interaerial SOLUTIONS as a free-standing UAS event.

The organisers have made this move to reflect the rapid development of the market. With an investment rate of 24%, UAS manufacturing and related technological development form the most dynamic growth generator in geo-based data capture, processing and applications development.

A new chapter

A new chapter in aviation history is unfolding as UAVs enjoy major growth in the civil market. It holds huge potential for those developing innovative applications, and the storyline will be scripted at interaerial SOLUTIONS - already the biggest event of its type in the German-speaking world.

To coincide with its launch as an independent show, a dedicated website went live in March. Exhibitors and visitors can access all they need to know about UAS and interaerial SOLUTIONS 2016 at www.interaerial-solutions.com.

Destined to be the UAS trade fair

UAV DACH e.V., the German-speaking Association for Unmanned Aviation and partner for interaerial SOLUTIONS, welcomes the growing emphasis on civil solutions.

Uwe Nortmann, Managing Director of UAV DACH e.V., already considers interaerial SOLUTIONS to be the leading UAS trade fair.

“For me, its principal appeal is its ability to demonstrate how a range of sectors can benefit from the fledgling technological developments surrounding UAS. By replacing manned flights, unmanned platforms can potentially deliver vast savings in costs. The future lies in unmanned aircraft systems – and interaerial SOLUTIONS is the platform to show this.”

Resounding success

The dedicated UAS topic platform staged at INTERGEO 2015 proved a resounding success, attracting some 80 exhibitors and 3,200 visitors. A third of those attending placed an order at or immediately following the event, and two thirds rated it as either important or very important for investment decisions.

Daniel Schmitt, the Manager of RKM - RotorKonzept Multikoptermanufaktur, says: “Last year’s interaerial SOLUTIONS gave professional UAS manufacturers the chance to present their products to a large and enthusiastic audience. At the same time, visitors gained a good overview of the market. interaerial SOLUTIONS is the most important exhibition platform of the year for RotorKonzept. We will definitely be on board again in Hamburg.”

Guaranteed publicity

Holding the new UAS event alongside INTERGEO means exhibitors will attract a large audience. Moreover, running the platform as an independent entity will generate keen interest in current and upcoming UAS topics.

interaerial SOLUTIONS will maintain the same format as last year, i.e., with an indoor exhibition area, an expert forum hosted by UAV DACH, and an outdoor flight zone. Visitors can expect to meet the following exhibitors at interaerial SOLUTIONS:

  • Suppliers of UAS components and accessories
  • UAS platform manufacturers
  • Providers of optical, thermal and other sensors for remote sensing
  • Software suppliers
  • UAS service providers
  • Technology & services for data utilisation
  • Education & training
  • Servicing and maintenance providers
  • Insurers & consultants
  • Publishers
  • Regulatory authorities and representative bodies
