WinGIS & EC-Sentinel II Images introduced at AgriFuturedays 2016

Only 4 days to AgriFuturDays 2016. It is organized by the Club of Ossiach, an initiative between GFAR, the Global Forum for Agricultural Research and Ossiach that is open to new partners from around the globe that are interested in ICT for agriculture. Close to 100 visitors from 30 countries will take part - YOU are missing!

We will focus on three main questions: (1) TECHNOLOGIES & TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION, (2) STAKEHOLDER COOPERATION and (3) EDUCATION.

The integrating topic – SMART RURAL AREAS – are necessary to support smart cities with food, fresh air, clean water and lowered natural risks. How to reach them we will initiate at AFDs with keynotes and workshops to summarize the outcomes for all participants. We hope to get the same compliments then last time: “I went home with lots of new ideas – we created them together”.

We at PROGIS worked also hard to introduce EC Sentinel II NDVI – a growth index for all fields worldwide with 5/10 days update time into our WinGIS. You see with one click the growth on your fields with 5 days, a fundament for PF-decisions. We need local partners working on ground truth within a cooperative business model.
