Rotterdam, 03 February 2017 – VSTEP is now a participant of the United Nations Global Compact aligning its strategies and daily operations in line with the ten global principles.

The Global Compact is the world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative to encourage businesses to adopt the 10 universal principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption within their organisation and then report on their implementation.

VSTEP is committed to making the Global Compactâ and its principles part of the strategy, culture and day to day operations and engage in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the United Nations. VSTEP shares the same conviction to contribute to a more stable and inclusive global market.

Henk van den Berg, Managing Director at VSTEP: “At VSTEP we support public accountability and transparency so we are pleased to be part of this initiative, which is an acknowledgement that we are committed to limit our impact on the environment and work towards achieving a sustainable growth with everything we do. Awareness of the environmental consequences and environmental protection is not only actively pursued within our company but also in the daily life of every VSTEP employee”.

VSTEP is proud to have joined the UN Global Compact’s fast-growing network and look forward to implementing changes in its business operations to support and promote this notable initiative.
