The breakthrough all-digital HD vision systems from Amimon will be on display at the upcoming UK Drone Show, EuropeÂs largest and most exciting gathering of drone, camera and smart technology being held 3-4 December at the NEC in Birmingham. The company will showcase its Connex family of digital wireless transmission systems, as well as its pioneering ProSight HD system specifically aimed at the fast-growing first-person view (FPV) drone racing market.

A highlight of the event will be the ProSight HD Digital Cup Challenge, an exhibition race featuring some of the top names in drone racing, including Luke Bannister the 16-year old prodigy who took the $250,000 first prize at last yearÂs World Drone Prix event in Dubai. Twelve pilots in all will square off using drones equipped with the ProSight system, bringing unmatched clarity and precision to the pilots and a captivating experience for spectators. Qualifying rounds will be run Saturday afternoon beginning at 14:30, with semifinal and finals scheduled for Sunday.

Digital video transmission will also be the topic of a panel discussion hosted by the UK Drone Show speaker presenter Barry Clack entitled ÂFor work or play: HD Vision transforms the drone industry to be held Saturday at 13:30 in the main speaker area. Panelists will include key players in the drone ecosystem, including Nigel Tomlinson, head of the European Rotor Sports Association, which last summer sanctioned digital technology for use in all of its events.

Visitors to the show can experience the thrill of digital flying at the Connex booth (#35) throughout the show, and demos of the system will be given each day from 10:45-11:00 at the eventÂs flying cage. Both the Connex and Connex Mini systems for professional drones used in broadcasting, photography, surveying and other applications will be on display. In addition, the latest version of the ProSight HD system for FPV racing, which includes new features for night time and indoor racing, will be shown as well.

ÂWe are very excited to be hosting the UKÂs very first major digital drone race (Digital Cup). The digital era has definitely arrived in the drone market, whether itÂs for professional use or in the exciting emerging sport of drone racing. We are pleased to have the Connex and ProSight brands on display and being demonstrated live for visitors to the UK Drone Show as we aim keep our events on the cutting edge of technology, said Oliver OÂBrien, Director of the UK Drone Show.
