Call for Papers for Esri UK’s 2017 Annual Conference now open – deadline 16th December

Aylesbury, 14th October, 2016 – Esri UK is pleased to invite proposals for presentations for its 2017 Annual Conference to be held on Tuesday 16th May, at the QEII Conference Centre, in London.

GIS users and experts from all over the UK are invited to submit their ideas and presentation concepts to share with more than 2,500 of the UK’s leading GIS professionals at the UK’s biggest GIS event. In 2016 more than 35 speakers or organisations took to the stage, from unique and diverse fields across the public and private sector, having been selected from more than 100 papers submitted.

For the 2017 conference potential speakers are asked to submit their ideas in one or more of the following seven categories:

  • Enabling a smarter world: how you are using the ArcGIS platform to deliver digital transformation for your organisation?
  • Smart data: how are you using ArcGIS as a system of record, to manage a wide variety of data from multiple sources, to deliver a central source of information and one view of the truth?
  • Smart analytics: if you are using ArcGIS as a system of insight to visualise data and undertake spatial analysis, how are you gaining a better understanding of complex business issues to help inform more strategic decision-making?
  • Smart collaboration: how you are using ArcGIS as a system of engagement to share information across your organisation, or externally, with the public or other stakeholders?
  • Smart working: how are you using mobile GIS to connect field workers with the enterprise?
  • Smart development: have you developed new apps or extended existing products using the ArcGIS platform?
  • Smart education: the conference team is particularly keen to hear how schools and universities are using GIS at all levels.

If you would like to share your expertise and join the speaker roster, please go on-line to submit your paper. The closing date for submissions is Friday 16th December; should you have any questions please contact Esri UK.
