RIEGL to Exhibit and Present at Commercial UAV Expo Americas 2021

By Eric Van Rees - 1st September 2021 - 05:03

RIEGL will be exhibiting and presenting at Commercial UAV Expo Americas 2021.

Commercial UAV Expo Americaswill take place from September 7 – September 9, 2021, at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada.

RIEGL will be exhibiting at Booth 307 at the conference. Be sure to stop by in-person to meet with our team of RIEGL experts to learn about the latest developments in RIEGL unmanned Waveform-LiDAR technology. RIEGL’s team of LiDAR experts are excited to share more how RIEGL unmanned sensors and systems can help you and your business!

In addition, there are two presentation opportunities. Join RIEGL USA’s Division Manager for Unmanned Laser Scanning, My-Linh Truong, to see RIEGL’s Product Preview Presentation on Tuesday, September 7th from 6:00 pm – 6:15 pm in Room Montego ABC. Join Regional Sales Manager for RIEGL USA, Eric Agnello, in the Exhibit Hall Theater on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. to see his presentation, “Solving the UAV LiDAR Workflow.” This presentation will provide into how several industries, especially the utility and energy sector can benefit from the innovations being made in refining complete UAV mapping solutions.

Throughout the week, we will have the following RIEGL UAV instruments on display:

The RIEGL VUX-120 is a powerful, lightweight, and versatile instrument with enhanced features and proven capabilities in UAV-based LiDAR sensing. Weighing only 2 kilograms or 4.4 pounds, the VUX-120 exceeds the needs within the geospatial industry, providing the ultimate solution for low-altitude corridor applications. The measuring beam of the RIEGL VUX-120 is consecutively scanned in three different directions: it alternates from strictly nadir to +10 degrees forward, and to -10 degrees backward. With a wide field of view of 100°, the VUX-120 can cover large swaths with one pass, making the fully integrated solution ideal for unmanned corridor applications, such as power line mapping, especially for fixed-wing UAV integrations.

The RIEGL VUX-1UAV mounted on Harris Aerial’s Carrier H6 Hybrid drone. The RIEGL VUX-1UAV is a very lightweight and compact laser scanner, meeting the challenges of emerging survey solutions by UAS/UAV/RPAS both in measurement performance as well as in system integration. With regard to the specific constraints and flight characteristics of the UAS, the RIEGL VUX-1UAV is designed to be mounted in any orientation and even under limited weight and space conditions.

The RIEGL miniVUX-3UAV mounted on FreeFly’s AltaX drone. The RIEGL miniVUX-3UAV is an extremely lightweight airborne laser scanner, designed specifically for integration with UAS/UAV/RPAS. The sister type of the proven RIEGL miniVUX-2UAV and RIEGL miniVUX-1UAV sensor offers a selectable 100 kHz, 200 kHz, and 300 kHz laser pulse repetition rate (PRR). With 300 kHz PRR, the sensor provides up to 100,000 measurements per second at 120° FoV and thus a dense point pattern on the ground for UAV-based applications that require the acquisition of small objects.

The RIEGL miniVUX-1UAV mounted on Watts Innovations PRISM X8 Coaxial drone. The RIEGL miniVUX-1UAV is an extremely lightweight airborne laser scanner, designed specifically for integration with UAS/UAV/RPAS.

RIEGL is looking forward to a successful conference and to welcoming you to Commercial UAV Expo Americas 2021!
