More than 500 exhibitors are anticipated at the largest-ever Oceanology International conference & exhibition as 50th anniversary celebrations continue

Registration has just opened for Oceanology International 2020 (17-19 March 2020), marking the 50th anniversary of the world’s most celebrated ocean technology exhibition and conference. Organisers Reed Exhibitions predict that Oi 2020 will be the largest edition in the expo’s 50-year history, with in excess of 500 companies exhibiting to more than 8,000 attendees in ExCeL London.

In addition, Reed Exhibitions has announced that a new Oceanology International (Oi) event will be held in Abu Dhabi in September 2020, taking its place alongside existing regional Oi events in San Diego and Shanghai. This means that an Oi now takes place every six months, providing an unparalleled global forum for academics, government representatives and marine science, technology and industry professionals from over 90 countries.

Oi 2020 will place a greater emphasis on features such as the Ocean ICT Zone, focusing on the most up-to-date connectivity and data solutions in the Marine Renewables, Offshore Oil & Gas, Aquaculture and Marine Science sectors, and the Future Tech Hub, highlighting the most innovative products from new-to-market technologists.

The broad-based nature of Oi 2020’s packed exhibition floor will be reflected by a similarly all-embracing technical conference program, supplying delegates with new knowledge and insight on industry trends and forecasts.

Geotechnology is a central pillar of the Oi remit. Conference speakers will examine advances in topics including geophysics, marine surveying and autonomous subsea vehicles, while the show floor will accommodate exhibitors demonstrating a wide range of offshore geotechnical products and disciplines.

“Oi 2020 will chart the course of technology for the coming years, and acts as an essential networking opportunity,” says David Ince, Event Director, Oceanology International, Reed Exhibitions. “We aim to have more companies represented, new features, free interactive seminars and brokered one-to-one meetings via the Enterprise Europe Network, plus lots more.”
