Arithmetica will be joining Veesus at the forthcoming GEO Business show to showcase the powerful Pointfuse Point Cloud Conversion Engine within the Arena4D product range. Enabling users of Arena4D Data Studio and Plugin for Rhino to quickly, easily and accurately convert the millions of individually laser scanned measurements contained within a typical point cloud, the Pointfuse V2 Point Cloud Engine represents a step change in the way that point clouds are converted into 3D vector models.
“We announced the partnership with Veesus towards the end of last year, so this is the first time we have presented the integrated solution, together, to such a large audience,” commented Mark Senior, Business Development Manager at Arithmetica – the company behind Pointfuse. “We have had positive feedback already from users of Rhino and Arena4D, and we are looking forward to showing the GEO Business audience how they can generate, manipulate and use vector data within their chosen software.”
“We are delighted to have Arithmetica join us at GEO Business,” added Mark Estcourt, Managing Director of Veesus. “In addition to showcasing the Pointfuse V2 Point Cloud Engine within the Arena4D Product range, we will also be demonstrating our newly launched 5x point cloud rendering performance increase, which makes point clouds in VR even better!”
Offering the “one button” approach, the new techniques in Pointfuse V2 not only convert point clouds into 3D vector models with accurate geometry, but also enable the discrete surfaces in these models to be isolated and manipulated in third party software, such as Rhino and Arena4D, to a greater extent than before. The integrated solution allows users to analyze a specific part of a point cloud, such as pipes or walls, allow for easier surface and edge determination, and will provide an environment that can be used to determine view-shed analysis and line of sight calculations
Arithmetica will be joining Veesus on Stand B2 at GEO Business which takes place on the 23-24 May at the Business Design Centre, London. With more than 3,000 visitors from 50 countries attracted by around 200 exhibitors, a cutting edge conference, commercial workshops, associated meetings and networking opportunities, GEO Business is described as THE geospatial event.
