PCS looks to the future with IQGeo’s Network Manager Telecom

By Eric Van Rees - 14th February 2024 - 08:11

IQGeo, a developer of geospatial software that is “Building better networks'' for telecom and utility operators, today announced Precision Contracting Services (PCS) has selected IQGeo’s Network Manager Telecom software to support the deployment and maintenance of fiber networks for municipalities across the US.

As a new partner, PCS will be using the IQGeo software to offer a greater flexibility for their customers while fueling its aggressive growth plans.

Over the last 15 years PCS has used multiple mapping and documentation applications to plan and manage the deployment of fiber networks for their municipality customers. To enhance its customer service and improve the efficiency of their own operations, PCS embarked on a meticulous evaluation of modern alternatives to replace its legacy Bentley Comms platform.

Founder and Director at PCS, Bruce Boyd commented: “There is no other software platform as flexible as Network Manager Telecom, which also happens to come with the backing of a team as experienced as the folks at IQGeo.”

Over the course of three months PCS evaluated five different alternative solutions and ultimately selected IQGeo. Application ease-of-use and a comprehensive and expandable data model, in combination with IQGeo’s track record, and pedigree were key to the selection. PCS will be leveraging IQGeo’s fiber planning, design and field mobility solutions to improve design, documentation, and construction processes, with plans to offer consolidated views to their clients and contractors.
