By [email protected] - 1st June 2016 - 10:57

Esri's new ArcGIS Earth is a free, interactive virtual globe that lets you explore any location on earth as well as your own 2D and 3D data from your desktop.

To learn how to start using ArcGIS Earth, tune in to the live training seminar, Enterprise 3D Mapping and More: Discover ArcGIS Earth, on June 9, 2016.

The seminar's presenters will provide an overview of ArcGIS Earth and demonstrate how to use the application to display and work with a variety of data formats, including KML. You will learn how to sketch place marks, measure distances and areas, add annotations, and easily share your work to help collaborators and stakeholders quickly grasp key information. ArcGIS Earth is fully integrated with the ArcGIS platform, so you can securely access, share, and publish your enterprise maps and data.

After viewing the seminar, you will understand how to

  • Use interactive tools to explore the data included with ArcGIS Earth as well as your own geographic information system (GIS) data.
  • Display KML files, shapefiles, and web services in ArcGIS Earth.
  • Highlight locations, add contextual information, and easily share your work with others.
  • Access content and services shared in ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS

This seminar will be of interest to GIS users who want to learn how ArcGIS Earth can help them quickly communicate spatial information to large groups of users within their organizations.

You will need a broadband Internet connection and an Esri Account to watch the live training seminar.
