Getech To Demonstrate Technical Excellence at the North East Satellite Applications Catapult Centre of Excellence

Getech, providers of natural resources exploration data and information expertise, will be exhibiting hosted by the North East Satellite Applications Centre of Excellence Annual Conference 2017.

Under the title of ‘Satellites Enabling a Better World’ the conference will focus on the business opportunities that exist for developing data-led satellite applications into a number of different industries. Speakers at the conference will include the UK Space Agency, the Satellite Applications Catapult, the European Space Agency, UBER and the Environment Agency.

Getech has a long and rich history of developing subsurface insight from their innovative use of satellite data; specifically the company has created a gravity dataset from satellite altimeter information, something that has been used extensively in the oil and gas industry.

Simon Campbell, Head of Gravity and Magnetic Solutions for Getech explains more about his company’s capabilities and their enthusiasm for supporting the SAC conference; “Getech has been developing cutting-edge techniques to transform satellite altimetry data to products used by the international oil and gas industry for over twenty years.

The conference will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead on 9th March 2017.
