Esri's Participation in Dubai's Future Cities Show 2019

REDLANDS, California — April 10th, 2019 — Esri, the global leader in location intelligence, today announced the conclusion of its participation in the Future Cities Show (FCS) 2019, held in Dubai’s World Trade Center between the 8th and the 10th of April.

With the theme of “Propelling Globalization through Digital Transformation, FCS supports the growth of smart city solutions such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, smart mobility, smart infrastructure, and sustainability as catalysts in achieving a healthy global digital economy. FCS provides the platform for carefully selected homegrown and international technological innovation under one roof, to attract scalable investments.

As the Geopsatial partner of FCS, Esri demonstrated GIS Applications for Safe Cities, Smart Cities, Land Administration, and Government Solutions among others. This is by using 3D Basemaps, Internet of Things (IoT), ArcGIS Urban, locational intelligence, and predictive analysis technologies to mention a few. Such solutions geographically enable governments to better serve their citizens. Perfect examples are the successful Enterprise-wide Agreement between Esri and the governments of Abu-Dhabi and Dubai in the UAE as well as the government of Oman.

Dr. Adel Bolbol Fernandez – Esri’s Global Business Development Manager in IoT, AI & Advanced Analytics for MEA - gave an interactive panel presentation about Spatial Technologies shaping the Temporal Changes of our world.

In FCS 2019, we highlighted our success story with the government of Abu-Dhabi, where 27 government entities and companies adopted Esri technology, managed by the Abu Dhabi Smart Systems and Services Authority (ADSSSA). The later allowed these entities to use GIS to develop businesses, services and the decision-making process in various sectors, which helped in offering services and projects with high standards of quality and accuracy of geospatial data. The end result is integrated and comprehensive services, as well as enhanced business environment and increased customer satisfaction and happiness” declared Dr. Nadine Sherif – Esri’s Regional Marketing Manager for MEA - in media interviews with ITP Media Group and Dubai TV Channel.

FCS 2019 was co-located with Annual Investment Meeting and AIM Start-up for an enhanced experience. About 15,000 people attended the event including Government officials and delegates from 25 countries.
