Earth Blox partners with Chloris Geospatial to expand forest carbon assessments and compliance solutions

By Eric Van Rees - 29th November 2024 - 07:28

Earth Blox, a provider of spatial intelligence for managing climate and nature-related risk and compliance, announced a partnership with Chloris Geospatial, a pioneer in forest carbon data.

This collaboration integrates Chloris’s premium, high-resolution above ground biomass data directly into the Earth Blox platform, enabling businesses to conduct comprehensive forest carbon assessments anywhere on the planet at speed and scale.

Chloris Geospatial, founded by scientists from Boston University, Harvard University, Princeton, MIT, and the Woodwell Climate Research Center, is globally recognized for its advanced Earth Observation and remote sensing techniques. Using machine learning algorithms, Chloris fuses multiple satellite data sources to deliver detailed, high-quality metrics on above-ground biomass stock and change, as well as forest cover change and related carbon emissions and removals.

Through this partnership, Earth Blox customers can access Chloris’s data as part of an extensive geospatial toolkit designed to deliver rapid, reliable nature and climate insights. This data is especially suited to carbon credit validation for nature-based solutions projects and reporting to the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
