3D Repo Debuts Online Health and Safety Platform

By [email protected] - 20th September 2018 - 10:25

3D Repo will debut Safetibase, an online platform for the tracking and analysis of health and safety issues, at the upcoming Digital Construction Week.

Safetibase is a cloud-based repository which uses existing best of breed solutions, including 3D Repo’s award-winning platform for Building Information Modelling (BIM), to improve risk management.

Supported by a consortium of leading innovators in the infrastructure sector, including Atkins, Mott MacDonald, Laing O’Rourke, Costain, Bentley, HS2, Tideway, Innovate UK through the Knowledge Transfer Network and I3P, Safetibase improves the communication and visualisation of health, safety and welfare risks saving projects time and money.

“Safetibase has been designed to be configurable for use on any project regardless of size or industry sector,” commented Jozef Dobos, CEO of 3D Repo. “It supports the geolocation of hazard data and is interoperable with multiple software platforms for easy visualisation. Safetibase also allows for the export of risk data for communication and collaboration with project partners and relevant institutions.”

Safetibase comprises a database of health, safety and welfare issues linked to an online 3D repository of project data. Safetibase provides clarity on the management of risk with the ability to track and manage in real time throughout the project lifecycle. The platform conforms to the newly published specification for ‘collaborative sharing and use of structured health and safety information using BIM’ (Publicly Available Specification PAS 1192-6).

The consortium behind Safetibase recently secured £35,000 of investment at the I3P (Infrastructure Industry Innovation Platform) Spark Awards, a Dragon’s Den style pitching event borne out of Crossrail’s Innovate18 programme.

Digital Construction Week is the only event series in the UK dedicated to innovation and technology in the built environment. Taking place in London from the 15th of October, the series includes a two-day exhibition with interactive, hands-on demonstrations, free to attend seminars, workshops, classes and a full conference programme. Digital Construction Week will also kick off with the sixth 3D Repo British Information Modelling event.

3D Repo is a multi-award-wining company behind the cloud based 3D Repo BIM platform, digital software which allows users to access the latest 3D models and make real-time changes and informed decisions during a construction project. Described as an online knowledge base, the 3D Repo platform uses a component-based database ensuring information is live, useful and accessible throughout the project lifecycle.
