Yotta Brings in New Business Development Managers to Accelerate Growth in Australia and New Zealand - New recruits will draw on extensive industry experience and sales expertise to expand company’s reach and customer base across the region

Leamington Spa, UK 11 January 2017 – Yotta has taken on two experienced new business development managers in a bid to drive up its rate of growth across Australia and New Zealand.

Defkalion Kalogridis who will be based in Melbourne will be responsible for growing the business across the states of Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. Avesh Maharaj will work out of Brisbane and concentrate on developing business into Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory as well as also covering New Zealand for Yotta. Both men will report into Simon Topp, Yotta’s Director of Marketing and International Business.

According to Topp: “Adding Def and Avesh to our team allows us to significantly expand our market reach, our ability to engage proactively with customers and prospects and the level of expertise and understanding we bring to our sales pitch. Their appointment will allow us to spend more time actively promoting our brand positioning across Australasia but it will also enable us to better understand local councils’ asset management challenges and to solve their problems using our software.”

Before joining Yotta, Kalogridis was business development manager for GIS solutions provider, Hexagon Geospatial, where he had responsibility for sales management across the Australian geospatial sector and where he successfully built and led a network of resellers and strategic partners. Kalogridis’ expertise and expertise in business development together with his in-depth understanding of the ways councils work and the extensive network of professional relationships he has built up will all prove invaluable to Yotta.

Previous to his appointment, Maharaj spent three years working for Assetic, where he was latterly business development manager for Australia and New Zealand with a primary focus on driving sales of asset management software. Before that he worked for CCH Australia, a leading technology supplier of SaaS compliance solutions where he primarily concentrated on business development across the states of Victoria, Western Australia & Tasmania.

Topp adds: “Both Avesh and Def bring a great deal of industry knowledge, asset management expertise and existing relationships into their new roles which will prove invaluable in driving the growth of the business across the Australasian region. We are confident their appointments will help us to not only drive up sales volumes but also raise our level of engagement with councils from a pure software focused approach to a more consultative value added engagement.”

Further underlining its ambitious growth plans, Yotta is also actively recruiting into pre and post-sales and business development roles across Europe.

According to Topp, “our current international recruitment plans highlight the momentum that is building up behind Yotta. We are taking on sales staff, consultants and software developers. It’s a strategic upfront investment in talent that we are confident will provide a great platform to accelerate Yotta’s growth over the coming years.”
