Waymap, the personal navigation app that works indoors, outdoors and underground, and Plowman Craven, a global provider of geospatial surveying with over 60 years of expertise, have signed a partnership agreement to offer trailblazing solutions for wayfinding and geospatial to venues and infrastructure operators worldwide.
The partnership highlights the rapid growth of the global market for accurate digital representations of indoor and underground spaces, and the huge potential for providing new services – powered by these representations – to venue owners and operators.
Plowman Craven already handles LiDAR scanning for Waymap’s projects, helping to create the precise digital maps that enable Waymap’s app to guide users around large and complex indoor and underground spaces.
Waymap’s app is now live in prestigious venues across four continents, including public transport networks in Washington DC, Singapore and Los Angeles, Westfield London, Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, the Bullring retail destination in Birmingham, the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh, and government buildings in Dubai.
“Waymap’s disruptive approach and Plowman Craven’s 60 years’ experience using cutting edge tech and deep global reach is a great fit,” said Celso Zuccollo, CEO of Waymap, “together we’ve been capturing geospatial data for our app, but there is so much more we can do with it. That data is a single source of truth which can power multiple use cases, such as virtual walk throughs, safety management and better user experiences.”
“Waymap and Plowman Craven have been delivering exciting new technology solutions together for clients for 18 months now,” added Zuccollo, “this partnership brings us even closer, confirming our joint leadership in exciting new markets which are growing fast.”
