Seyond Showcases LiDAR Sensor Fusion at the ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo 2025 in Stuttgart

By Eric Van Rees - 22nd May 2025 - 05:38

At this year’s ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo in Stuttgart, Seyond, a developer and manufacturer of high-resolution LiDAR systems, is presenting its latest advancements for automated driving functions up to Level 3+ – with a strong focus on production-ready sensor architectures tailored to real-world driving scenarios.

At the heart of Seyond’s booth is a live demonstration of sensor fusion, showcasing the combined use of its Falcon K long-range LiDAR and Robin W short-range LiDAR in a realistic vehicle setup. The solution mirrors Seyond’s system architectures already deployed by international OEMs.

“Reliable sensor fusion is a key prerequisite for everyday automated driving,” says Oliver Ramoli, Business Development & Manager Key Accounts EMEIA at Seyond Europe. “Each individual sensor only provides a limited view of the surroundings. It’s only through precise fusion that a complete and robust environmental model emerges – and that’s exactly what we’re demonstrating live here in Stuttgart.”

Sensor fusion – the intelligent combination of different sensor sources – is critical to eliminating blind spots, resolving discrepancies between data inputs, and enabling safe, real-time driving decisions. The interplay between Seyond’s long-range and short-range LiDARs results in a high-resolution point cloud – especially relevant in complex traffic situations and under changing weather or lighting conditions.
