New Workability Options Enhance Carlson iCAD 2021

By Eric Van Rees - 4th February 2021 - 08:04

Recent updates to Carlson’s just-released CAD program, iCAD 2021, include several time- and money-saving features and capabilities.

The affordable CAD program now works with both .dwg and .dgn files. Providing a cost-effective option for engineers, managers, and drafters to finish and review drawings, iCAD 2021 can open and save .dwg, .dgn, and .dxf files in 2017 and earlier formats. The software can also import and export other format models including .pdf, .iges, and .step and can convert AutoCAD Civil 3D custom objects to standard CAD entities.

Utilizing iCAD 2021, users can now draw 3D objects like box and cylinder and they can apply functions such as extrude and union. The user interface can also be customized with control ribbons, menus, and workspaces.

Based on the IntelliCAD 10.0 engine, iCAD 2021 also delivers Carlson Software drafting and annotation tools.
