Two Logan City Employees Receive Awards at the 2017 Rural Water Association of Utah Conference

Sandy, UT – Cityworks extends its congratulations to the City of Logan, Utah, for receiving two awards at the 2017 Rural Water Association of Utah conference. Paul Lindhardt, water/wastewater division manager, received the Resource Efficiency Award on behalf of Logan City, and Jim Johnson, water maintenance crew chief, received the Extra Miler award.

The Resource Efficiency Award is presented to an organization who has shown exceptional commitment to water conservation by implementing practices to reduce water loss and energy usage, implementing educational programs to encourage water conservation, and demonstrating efforts to increase water conservation through various operational procedures.

The Extra Miler Award is awarded to water operators who have worked more than 10 years in water treatment or distribution and have shown outstanding on-the-job performance, including continuing education, maintaining compliance with state regulations, and maintaining the necessary system operator certifications.

“I am grateful to have been able to accept the efficiency award on behalf of Logan City,” said Paul Lindhardt, water/wastewater division manager, City of Logan. “Our crews have worked very hard at making our system more efficient and utilizing the assets we already have installed. Sometimes we get lucky and find ways to get more bang for our buck by changing how we operate what we already have, as opposed to adding more infrastructure.”

The City of Logan has been a part of the Cityworks community since 2006.
