In focus: The state of sewer management system technology

By [email protected] - 25th January 2017 - 15:21

What requirements should be met by a modern and integrated sewer information system? This question will be answered for interested parties from 28 to 31 March 2017 in Berlin. BARTHAUER is not only presenting current theoretical aspects but also practical solution approaches in the course of the Wasser Berlin International trade fair and the leading international symposium for line construction, No Dig Berlin.

The planning, administration, construction and operation of drainage systems encompasses numerous complex tasks. These include general drainage planning, the construction of facilities, operation, finance and administration. Such subtasks are closely linked. Completing them requires current and complete information about the sewer network. As a rule this is administered using a sewer information system. Changes in automated data processing in consequence of European standardisation, tighter technical standards for data analysis and the advancement of technology also lead to stricter requirements for modern sewer information systems.

In the course of his presentation at No Dig Berlin, the leading international symposium for trenchless technologies in line construction, Jürgen Barthauer as the Managing Director of Barthauer Software GmbH identifies the requirements that must be met by modern and integrated sewer information systems. Possible solutions are examined on the basis of examples in order to implement these theoretical requirements in practice. Corresponding tools for modern and integrated sewer management are being displayed at the company’s own exhibition stand during the Wasser Berlin International trade fair.

At Wasser Berlin International, BARTHAUER is presenting itself for the first time with its cooperation partner DHI WASY GmbH, the German subsidiary of the Danish Hydraulic Institute. The two companies are jointly presenting BaSYS MIKE, the new, integrated software solution for hydrodynamic sewer network calculation, at the shared exhibition stand in hall 3.2/stand 316. In addition to BaSYS MIKE, BARTHAUER is introducing extensions and improvements to the water and gas module for the infrastructure management system BaSYS.
