Getmapping appoints Geosolutions Consultant

We are delighted to announce that Simon Nigh has chosen Getmapping as the next step in his career, following 20 years’ service providing unique geospatial solutions to UK Defence, NATO and their Allies.

“I was attracted to Getmapping by their vast experience in high resolution data capture and the opportunity to develop meaningful solutions that help answer some of the challenges facing our communities and change the way people view their environments”.

As a Geosolutions Consultant across the Getmapping Group, Simon will work with our Partners, Sales and Delivery teams to design and develop geospatial solutions for our global client base to help address their unique challenges

Simon’s career to date has been both exciting and varied and seen him working across Europe and the Middle East; providing support and strategic planning into the NATO Multinational Headquarters in Italy, to operational tours training the Afghan National Army in basic GIS.

Simons career started in surveying, GIS and cartography and he is Associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered surveyors, he continued to build on these skills with the successful completion of a BSc Applied Computing Geospatial Information, which has allowed him to support and manage projects in the design and build of GS Web Portal solutions and UAV imagery applications.
