2.30 - 2.50 pm

Iain Langlands FRICS, GIS Manager - Glasgow City Council

“Future City Glasgow – a Transformation Strategy”

Future City Glasgow was an ambitious £24M programme investigating the role that technology, data and connected assets play in making city life smarter, safer and more sustainable. The programme investigated key service challenges affecting Glasgow – such as energy, health, transport, and public safety.

Having completed a successful Future City Glasgow demonstrator project, the Council is now using lessons learned to transform its business practices and its partnership arrangements. Data-driven decision making is becoming the default position for policy and strategy development, accompanied by an increasing demand for location-based data analytics. Geographic Information has become mainstream and Glasgow’s citizens are benefiting through improved service planning and delivery. The transformation is underway!

11.45 am - 12.05 pm

Craig Clark, CEO - Clyde Space
