Fotech appoints new CTO to scale up the business

Fotech, a bp Launchpad company and global provider of Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) technology, has appointed Steve Cammish as Chief Technology Officer.

With more than 25 years' experience in leading teams to develop new technologies in artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and data management across a range of industries, Cammish joins Fotech at an exciting and challenging point in its growth. He has worked on dynamic solutions for sectors including military and aerospace, smart cities, industrial automation, energy, transportation and healthcare.

Founded in 2008, Fotech is a key player in the global distributed fibre optics sensing technology market. Its innovative DAS technology has multiple applications for smart cities, infrastructure, pipeline and security.

Cammish has a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Computing for Business and IT from Northumbria University. He has worked with development teams around the world and lives in County Durham, England.
