By Eric Van Rees - 5th October 2022 - 07:10

Envitia has been awarded a £1.2m contract by the Royal Navy to deliver an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) capability that will underpin the Navy Digital Programme.

The service will deliver modern on-premise multi-tenanted cloud hosting platforms and edge-based deployed data processing environments. This will facilitate flexible and scalable services that support legacy and new digital and data solutions to drive the Royal Navy’s digital ambitions.

This capability will also support the wider Ministry of Defence including the Defence Digital Data Centre Rationalisation (DCR) Programme.

Nabil Lodey, CEO of Envitia, said: “This programme builds on Envitia’s continued delivery of deep data expertise to the Royal Navy at the heart of defence digital transformation. The Envitia team will work closely with the Royal Navy and industry partners in a collaborative and agile manner, reflecting an approach that represents the future of successful delivery across Defence.”

Dr Sarah Cole, Account Director at Envitia, added: “We’re honoured to have been awarded this key programme with the Royal Navy and look forward to working closely with Navy Digital Services and industry partners to deliver this capability.”
