EMC 2020 Overview

The COVID 19 pandemic has triggered the worst global economic crises with the events industry being most affected.

The inability to host in- person events on a large scale, restrictions on mass gatherings and social distancing norms across several countries have further tested the mettle of every person associated with the events industry. To survive these difficult times, pivoting to digital settings has emerged as a new face and a fruitful alternative to in-person events. Held on 8 & 9 December 2020, the digital edition of The European Mining Convention, EMC 2020 was designed to provide one such online platform for the entire mining community to network, deliberate and explore possible avenues in the advantageous European Mining Industry.

EMC 2020 - Virtual Edition hosted a 2-Day Programme-packed conference and a live exhibition that witnessed 650+ registered attendees including key business leaders and tech players, who are at the forefront of changing the global mining landscape towards a brighter future. This virtual edition came out as a great success in terms of providing high-impact knowledge-sharing and networking sessions to all the participants despite the odds. The conference at EMC 2020 - Virtual Edition featured a stellar lineup of 40 Speakers hailing from top mining and technology companies who shared their valuable insights on important topics related to the mining industry.

The virtual exhibition at EMC 2020 witnessed the participation of 20 exhibiting companies, providing them with an excellent opportunity to position their brands in front of an enthused audience, interact with the potential clients and exchange business contacts in a real-time social environment. EMC 2020 concluded with seamless networking, knowledge-sharing and business matchmaking sessions in presence of hundreds of global attendees. The event upheld its position as Europe’s premier mining exhibition & conference, dedicated to promoting the continent’s mining potential and technology advancements at the center of global mining discourse.
