AgriFutureDays 2016 A must for agriculture or environment related NGOs

The “Club of Ossiach” (CoO) focusing on the use of ICT within agriculture – forestry and environment around the world will organize this year from 22. – 24.6.2016 the “AgriFutureDays 2016” - after the successfully AFDs 2014 in Villach – see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LZsoC0lNlA - and 2015 in Beijing see: http://www.nercita.org.cn/icia2015/index-english.asp - with the topic of the conference:

“SMART RURAL AREAS FOR SMART CITIES”

based on key-notes with experts from GFAR, FAO, EC, JRC and three workshops with following subjects addressed:

  1. Technology and Technology integration – the benefits,
  2. Chain management and stakeholder´s cooperation – public and private partnership and
  3. Education and local experience integration

We will discuss and present several technologies, products, innovations, services and methods that not only show the benefits for farmers, farm advisors or the public side but also explain the enormous impact these new technologies will have in building new services for these customer groups: the entire agro-food chain, from farmers via suppliers/buyers to consumers.

The three workshops will enable you and/or your colleagues to understand these future markets, discuss them with experts and be part on a resume that will be documented at the end of the workshop and get also digital information about more than 40 papers presented. All topics focus on an enormous global perspective: We need beside more food with higher quality for a fast growing mankind also taking into consideration the 17 UN development goals: http://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/ .
