[Stockholm, Sweden, November 27, 2017.] Digpro, the major innovator in the field of Geographic IT and Network Lifecycle Management, has been chosen by ABB to supply their GIS based network management system dpPower for a large SCADA ADMS project in Turkey.

ABB selects dpPower and the GIS software solutions from Digpro to support the migration of network data, and to support the process and work flow for Network Planning and Design of the electrical network including geo-spatial visualization of all network assets in scope, and to feed the ADMS calculation engines with accurate network data.

“A correct, validated, and up-to-date spatial representation of all critical network assets on a grid of this size, and at any given time, is a crucial component of any ADMS implementation project. For this project ABB have included dpPower from our trusted partner Digpro to deliver and support us with these capabilities”, said Kaan Çetin, ABB Project Manager.

The project includes implementation and rollout of an integrated system with GIS/NIS, SCADA and ADMS capabilities. The customer operates a large electrical distribution network in Turkey, and provides services to more than 1.7 Million customers.

The dpPower GIS solution streamlines and reduces costs associated with the design, storage and maintenance of geospatial network asset data. This information is readily available for the ABB Network Manager ADMS system, the Maximo EAM system from IBM, and for the CIS from Alternatif, and many more systems, which will be integrated in to dpPower.

‘’We are very proud and happy to be awarded the contract for supplying ABB and the Turkish electrical distribution network with our GIS based network management system dpPower. We are delighted to have received the confidence from them and we are looking forward to a long and rewarding cooperation. We see their choice of supplier as further evidence that there is a great demand of powerful and cost-effective systems for planning, operation and maintenance of a variety of networks worldwide’’, said Bo Lundgren, CEO Digpro.

dpPower offers a new way of managing electric distribution networks by focusing on the fact that the network is best visualized through maps and schematics. With dpPower in place everyone within the organization can access any data needed to perform their mission, regardless if it is operation, planning, maintenance, customer service or documentation through the fully web-enabled interface, dpPower offers great flexibility as it allows external resources to work efficient directly on the same data as in-house resources.

Digpro is with its 30 years in the industry a major innovator within geographic information technology and also the market leader in Scandinavia. Digpro provides solutions for electricity, telecommunications, gas, district heating, water and central and local government - in fact any organization that builds and maintains various types of networks.
