This year, our popular Annual Conference will be celebrating 60 years of the British Cartographic Society, bringing together members and those working in the industry to network and discuss good practice and developments in the field. The Map Curators’ Group will convene to hear from a range of speakers on the theme of exploration. BAS are hosting a hackday with us, where you are invited to use data to solve a challenge and share tips and knowledge of different software platforms and data. And our Main Conference has a varied programme of speakers themed around our cartographic past and looking into the future. Our 60th Anniversary dinner will be held at Christ’s College, Cambridge, where you will also be able to hear our guest speaker, polar explorer Alex Hibbert, sharing a fascinating insight into his adventures in this challenging environment.

You can see the full programme on our website.
