eSpatial Appoints New Sales Manager to Support Expansion Plans for its Web GIS & Geographic Business Intelligence Solutions throughout the UK & Europe

eSpatial, a leading Web GIS and Geographic Business Intelligence (GeoBI) company today announced the appointment of a new Sales Manager, Mr. Matthew Tuohy.

Matt joins eSpatial in a senior Sales role and brings a vast amount of knowledge to the position and is a true industry veteran, having worked in the GIS and Mapping sector since 1973 as a user, consultant and salesman. A Fellow of several professional associations, Matt is also a former Council Member of the Association for Geographic Information (AGI). Matt has worked for other major GIS suppliers, such as Autodesk and MapInfo, and recently spent two years working with an Oracle Spatial-based technology product set which fits extremely well with the eSpatial product and service offering.

One of Matt’s key responsibilities will be to take the lead on eSpatial’s aggressive expansion in delivering solutions designed specifically for UK Local Government. He has also been charged with identifying and then addressing new markets for eSpatial’s solutions.

Matt will drive sales for eSpatial’s award-winning Web GIS offering that addresses the needs of Local Government and Commercial customers. The solution, built on its core iSMART product, delivers increased internal efficiencies and enhanced online services to the public through internal and external web mapping applications.

On joining eSpatial Mr. Tuohy commented, “I’m excited to join eSpatial and I look forward to helping our customers to really benefit from the power of GIS and Geographic Business Intelligence. With eSpatial’s web applications we can help organisations to improve operational effectiveness, enhance role-based user experience and increase our client’s customer care by linking back-office activities to customer-facing interfaces.”

Philip O’Doherty, eSpatial CEO commented, “We’re delighted to have Matt join our team and his extensive experience will greatly assist eSpatial with delivering market leading Web GIS and GeoBI solutions to both existing and new customers throughout the UK and Europe.”
