18th February, 2009 - Yotta, part of OMG (Oxford Metrics Group [LSE:OMG]) has gained ISO 9001:2008 certification, a fantastic achievement for such a young company and a valuable asset to support the company’s future growth and development. The certification is proof of Yottas hard work and commitment and an assurance to customers of their ability to provide quality data.
ISO 9001:2008 is an international standard that gives requirements for an organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS). The objective of ISO 9001:2008 is to provide a set of requirements that if effectively implemented, will provide customers with the confidence that their supplier can consistently provide goods and services which will meet their needs and expectations and comply with applicable regulations.
Yotta work closely with Local Authorities and help them to improve the safety and usability of the UK road network through effective highway management solutions. This led Yotta to invest in developing a fully integrated quality management system. The inspector at Lloyds Register was very detailed in his investigations and considered Yottas Quality Management System to be very worthy of the new 2008 accreditation.
“At Yotta we take pride in the quality of our work and believe we have produced a practical Quality Management System that will enable us to maintain a focus on continuous business improvement, which will further benefit both our customers and partners,” concludes David Lowe, Yotta CEO.
