ATDI is to offer the latest Ordnance Survey OpenData maps in ATDI format.
Ordnance Survey Great Britain (OSGB) has removed many licence restrictions and costs associated with the use of much of its data, and ATDI has used this opportunity to integrate the most up-to-date maps into its systems, offering its customers an expanded dataset.
“Our planning and modelling software is trusted across the military and civilian sectors,” comments ATDI managing director Cyprien de Cosson, “and this is going to add an extra dimension to it. OSGB OpenData is a major innovation, and now it is available in ATDI format customers will be able to achieve more at a vastly reduced cost.”
ATDI is incorporating the new system into its comprehensive technical support package, and will also be able to offer postcode and other vector data shortly.
“This is a true package,” Cyprien comments. “Everything is seamless, streamlined and presented as a whole. As a concept, it’s pretty much a dream.”
The service is available to all existing ATDI customers with a current technical support contract; the new facility will enhance the current service in that customers will be able to access all GB data from a single source, thereby saving time, effort and money. “It also provides peace of mind as the data is from a high quality source,” Cyprien notes. Customers without the technical support package will be able to access the OSGB data in ATDI format along with other supporting materials for an annual fee of £1,000.
The new service will be presented as part of a range of online downloads and services on the new ATDI customer website to be launched in June 2010.
