Wildgoose opens education resources online shop

Wildgoose, the educational services division of BlueSky International, has launched an exciting new one stop online shop for education resources.

The company, which specialises in the supply of products to support the teaching of geography, history, religious education and nature studies, launched the Internet store to support the expanding product range and the growing demand from overseas.

To encourage repeat visits to the new site Wildgoose has introduced a changing 'online offer of the month'. The opening offer is a universal 10% discount on all online orders.

The online store contains over 2,500 quality resources to support the teaching of geography and related subject from Early Years and Primary through to Further and Higher Education stages.

Advanced search facilities enable visitors to identify products by Key Stage, National Curriculum Topic, Curriculum On-line status as well as more standard search options like price, product type or description. The visitor will also be guided to other related products that they may find of interest, a feature many online shoppers will be familiar with as it is used extensively on sites such as Amazon or Tesco.

Visitors to 'Wildgoose.ac' can quickly identify new additions to the product range, view the best selling lines and benefit from exclusive online offers including offer of the month, multi buy discounts and seasonal reductions.

The new online resource has secure ordering and payment facilities including account options or a simple to use quick order, and overseas visitors can automatically calculate the postage for their specific order.

"The development of this site is an important progression for Wildgoose." said Lynette Rowbottom, Education Manager. "Traditionally we have only produced hard copy catalogues, which can be slow to react to new or updated products. This resource enables us to bring to market new products as they become available and communicate with our growing international client base. However we will continue to publish our product catalogues, and helpful, professional support from our education team will always be available".

This Month's Burning Issue...
Each month we select a hot topic and a leading figure in the industry to write about it.
This month's burning issue:

Lack of Location Awareness is ‘Analytical Blind Spot’ for Organisations.

Traditional Business Intelligence has looked at the ‘who’, ‘what’, and ‘why’ around data, but has ignored the ‘where’. Location is a core analytical dimension. Within this data lies a vast pool of intelligence that largely remains untapped for organisations. This rich data source is particularly important for UK Public Sector organisations in enabling a single view of the citizen, delivering citizen self-services, improving compliance, and optimising cost efficiencies.

Location is ubiquitous and influences most, if not all, business behaviour and outcomes – yet a lack of location awareness remains an analytical blind spot for a large number of organisations who have not considered how the geographic and location aspects of the data they hold affects their business processes… More…
