HUNTSVILLE, Ala., July 8, 2010 - Intergraph® and industry analyst firm Frost & Sullivan will present a webinar examining the role of full motion video (FMV) in today's intelligence environment at 12:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, July 14. The webinar will feature expert perspectives on how FMV can be leveraged to provide defense and military analysts with unprecedented situational awareness and actionable intelligence.
The hour-long webinar, Unlocking the Power of Full Motion Video, will address the role of FMV as an invaluable intelligence resource for tactical-level ground forces, commanders and strategic decision-making. The presenters will highlight the challenges of incorporating full motion video into the warfighter's arsenal while exploring the newest solutions and techniques needed to fully unlock the power of this data source that will exponentially grow with the next generation of camera arrays.
Frost & Sullivan Senior Aerospace & Defense Analyst Brad Curran, will provide an overview of industry trends that have fueled a need for an integrated system to collect, extract, analyze and maximize video data sources. Curran will be joined by Intergraph Defense and Intelligence Industry Manager Leah Wood and Elaine Woodling, product manager for Intergraph's Motion Video Exploitation solution, who will introduce the latest addition to the company's suite of geospatially powered solutions that support military and civilian agencies' intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance activities.
"To successfully conduct surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance activities, military and defense analysts must be able to process, query and analyze the substantial and growing volumes of video and other intelligence data," said Curran. "Empowering analysts with the ability to manage vast amounts of multi-INT data facilitates situational awareness and enables commanders to take decisive action based on a complete understanding of the situation on the ground."
"The proliferation of UAVs streaming live video intelligence to analysts has established a critical need for integrated systems that can exploit and analyze this flood of sensor data to facilitate situational awareness and provide strategic decision-making capabilities for defense and military analysts," said Wood. "Intergraph's Motion Video Exploitation solution maximizes warfighter efficiency by providing real-time situational awareness and actionable intelligence."
