Wallingford Software announces 10th Annual User Conference 15th-16th September 2009

Call for papers showing the practical applications of Wallingford Software’s drainage and flooding, water supply and asset management products

Wallingford Software, global leader in hydraulic and hydrologic water modelling and asset management software, has announced details of its 10th annual user conference. The event will be held on 15th-16th September 2009 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Reading, UK, on the banks of the River Thames.

The user conference attracts water engineers from across the globe, all keen to share expertise, network and learn about the latest developments in modelling and asset management software from Wallingford Software’s team of internationally renowned engineers.

The packed programme will include keynote presentations, user case studies and live technical presentations and is being held in the context of the review undertaken by Sir Michael Pitt, the UK government’s response to that review and the increasing pressure being brought to bear on water companies due to the global economic downturn and global environmental concerns.

‘Challenging times make for what we anticipate will be a mentally and professionally stimulating conference that will be even more exciting and influential than ever,’ explained Andrew Brown, Operations Director of Wallingford Software. ‘Wallingford Software has a heritage that stems from the UK Hydraulics Research Station and our conference gives us an excellent opportunity to show our customers and other industry professionals exactly why we continue to lead the world in the development of water modelling and asset management software,’ continued Brown.

Day one of the conference will have two parallel sessions, one on ‘Drainage & Flooding’ (InfoWorks CS & RS) and another on ‘Water Supply’ (InfoWorks WS). The second day will focus on ‘Asset Management’ and Wallingford Software's InfoNet solution.
