WPC Software joins forces with ESRI (UK)

ESRI (UK), the market leader for geographic information systems (GIS) technology is pleased to announce that WPC Software has joined their Partners and Alliances Programme as an authorised ESRI (UK) Business Associate.

Through the partnership, WPC will be able to utilise a range of ESRI technology to help geospatially enable solutions for existing and future customers, embedding mapping into some of the key applications WPC offer in the police market. This will include Inn Keeper, which is already used by 23 UK Forces to administer alcohol licensing requests, and Shogun for managing firearms licenses.

Glenn Bewes, Business Development Manager for WPC said: “There is a growing number of police forces across the UK that are utilising ESRI solutions to provide reliable and real-time GIS information to aid analytical and operational policing. By becoming an ESRI (UK) Business Associate, we can offer our customers valuable GIS functionality on top of WPC's existing product portfolio. We will also be looking to develop future leading-edge solutions with the potential to embed ESRI's market-leading GIS components.”

Simon Cottingham, public safety strategist for ESRI (UK) says: “We are excited to be working with WPC Software who is recognised as a leading supplier of innovative computer systems for UK police services. There are clearly a number of benefits to embedding geospatial information into WPC applications, and we are pleased that WPC have selected the ESRI technology platform to support their solutions. This partnership will deliver enhanced value to our shared customers, and further cements ESRI (UK)’s position as a leading technology provider into UK police forces.”

ESRI (UK) and WPC Software will be exhibiting at the Police Superintendent’s Conference taking place at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Warwickshire from 14 – 17 September, 2009.
