There is only 1 more week for you to enter your idea into the 2008 UK SatNav Challenge.
"Everybody has been amazed at what clever entrepreneurs have been able to do [with Satellite Navigation]; it does far more than what anyone could have dreamed of when they invented the system," said Richard Peckham of EADS Astrium Navigation, and one of the Judges of the UK competition.
Winners over the last 3 years include Traffic Control modelling, Mapping solutions, Monitoring assistance to the elderly and the blind, vehicle accident profiling and a major advance in real time gaming around Formula 1. All such ideas have their own brand of uniqueness and benefit from the increased accuracy of the timing signals from the Galileo satellites.
