Trimble is to host a series of survey road shows across Europe during the first quarter of 2008. The world leading provider of GPS and total station solutions intends to follow up its success at INTERGEO 2007 with the Trimble Express, an up to the minute programme presenting the very latest advances in Trimble technology.
Launching from North Germany in January, the tour will visit around 50 locations across the UK, France, Germany and Scandinavia, eventually culminating in Stockholm, Sweden on March 14th. Survey professionals will learn about the latest in business enhancing technology and new business opportunities from Trimble. Agenda highlights include a journey into spatial imaging with the Trimble VX Spatial Station, a close look at the S8 Total Station and experience of the recently unveiled 4D Control Software; hands-on opportunities will naturally form a major part of each event.
Spatial Imaging extends the functionality of geospatial information to generate new survey opportunities; delegates will see how the VX Spatial Station offers an easy entry into spatial imaging, capturing shapes, details and coordinates via a combination of 3D scanning and digital imaging. They will also be introduced to Trimble’s most advanced Autolock and Robotic Total Station to date - the Trimble S8, a state-of-the-art instrument that works with Trimble 4D Control processing software to bring unequalled performance and productivity in land survey and engineering applications.
Participation including lunch is of course free of charge, a more detailed itinerary is below and further information is available from: www.korecgroup.com or call 0151 931 6721.

Each month we select a hot topic and a leading figure in the industry to write about it.HAVE WE REALLY LEARNT THE LESSONS FROM LAST YEAR’S FLOODS?
Flooding costs associated with extreme weather, both financial and emotional, have increased considerably over the last decade, and experts have predicted this trend is set to continue.
Paul Livett, Chairman of GroundSure looks into how increasing the use of flood risk information in property transactions can help to ensure both residential and commercial transactions are conducted on a truly informed basis, with buyers being made aware of environmental risks prior to purchase.
Over 2.2 million homes and small businesses in the UK are located in areas considered at risk of flooding, and the Association of British Insurers (ABI) has said that 570,000 of these face a high risk of flooding. The floods in June and July last year left approximately 48,000 households… More…
