The Carphone Warehouse selects Telmap to power own-branded mobile navigation application for the BlackBerry Curve 8310 smartphone
The Carphone Warehouse Navigator launches in time for Christmas.
LONDON, 03 December, 2007 – The Carphone Warehouse, Europe's leading independent retailer of mobile phones and services, today announced that it has selected Telmap, a world leader in advanced mobile navigation solutions, to power its own-branded mobile navigation application, The Carphone Warehouse Navigator for the BlackBerry Curve 8310 smartphone.

The Carphone Warehouse Navigator comes pre-bundled with the BlackBerry Curve 8310 handset which will be available from The Carphone Warehouse retail outlets from 01 December in time for the Christmas shopping season.

The Carphone Warehouse Navigator is a complete mobile navigation application that includes in-car and pedestrian navigation. Key features includes moving maps display, free-text advanced local search capabilities with auto complete and fuzzy matching allowing people to find what they are looking for even with partial information or misspelled entries.
The mobile navigation market is predicted to be worth €150 billion by 2015, according to recent research by Morgan Stanley
