Spot Image and Infoterra Ltd signs agreement with Google

Spot Image and Infoterra Ltd, world leading suppliers of geospatial products and services, and both part of EADS Astrium, are pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with Google to be a partner for Google Earth Enterprise.

Spot Image and Infoterra have been a Google Earth content partner for a number of years, providing ready to use imagery to Google as well as to Google Earth Enterprise users. Today Spot Image and Infoterra will be able to provide customised Google Earth Enterprise solutions to their customers and distributors. Using this technology, our professional customers will be able to access their own internal geospatial data in 2D and 3D as well as new geospatial imagery and services provided by Spot Image and Infoterra.

"This is an exciting development in our relationship with Google, particularly becoming the first Google Earth Enterprise partner in the UK," stated Phil Cooper, head of the geospatial software unit for Infoterra Ltd. "We look forward to strengthening our market position by harnessing the Google Earth Enterprise capabilities."

"We are very pleased with this new development of our partnership with Google, said Jean-Francois Faudi, head of Web & E-Business for Spot Image. "Spot Image products have been selected by Google because they fit perfectly with Google Earth, which is a fantastic tool to provide an easy access to satellite imagery to millions of people. Now with Google Earth Enterprise, our professional customers will be able to leverage the power of Google Earth over their secure network to deliver their own imagery content to their users."
