Sigma Seven are pleased to announce their sponsorship of the annual conference of the Association for Geographic Information (AGI).
Taking place in Stratford-Upon-Avon, UK, 24-25 September, the AGI Conference and Exhibition are key dates in the calendar of the British GI industry and have been the flagship events of the AGI for more than a decade.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Shaping a Changing World’ and will address how the GeoCommunity works in a global environment of change, challenge and transformation.
As corporate members of the AGI who have taken an active part in previous AGI events, Sigma Seven are proud to continue to support the important work of the organisation.
Sponsorship of the AGI conference reflects Sigma Seven’s own strong belief in the mission of the AGI which is ‘to maximise the use of geographic information (GI) for the benefit of the citizen, good governance and commerce.’
Sigma Seven was formed in 2000 by a group of mapping, data management and GIS professionals from leading IT Service and Utilities companies. Recognising the growing demand for flexible and affordable mobile map-based solutions in all organisations with field workers, the company has developed the GeoField product suite. Sigma Seven has helped some of the largest utility companies in the UK to take mapping out of the office and into the front line.
