VDO Dayton is the first to unite portable sat nav with digital TV
VDO Dayton has combined one of the much-loved forms of entertainment with satellite navigation in a neat package. The portable system has all the features you would expect from a leading navigation manufacturer united with quality digital TV.
The sat nav boasts a host of features; A-Z UK and European mapping for effortless cross border driving, safety camera alert around accident blackspots, plus touch screen facility and seven digit postcode entry, for ease of use. The integrated digital TV receiver and sensitive antennas provide a quality digital TV picture on the move. Enjoy your favourite TV programme on either the widescreen 5.6" (PN6000) or the pocket-sized 4.3" (PN4000). The powerful battery means the digital TV can be used anywhere where the reception is available. The system is a perfect partner for holidays and business trips.

Teletext service is also available, providing convenient access a variety of information from film reviews to sports results and there's easy access to the TV channels with assistance of the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG). The multimedia features include playback of WMV video, MP3 and JPEG files and there's a choice of games. The optional active cradles offer bluetooth handsfree calling and / or TMC traffic alert and the system can be operated safely and conveniently from the steering wheel using the optional infrared steering wheel remote control.
The technical specifications include a 128 MB internal RAM memory, a 64 MB flash memory and 2GB SD card capacity. The display is readable in all lighting conditions due to the automatic brightness control and the anti-glare coating which helps to reduce reflection. The contents of the box includes a suction mounting cup, 2GB SD card of European mapping, car and mains charger, quick start guide, and two DVB-T antennas.
The prices start from an affordable £279.99 for the PN 4000 4.3" screen and £349.99 for the 5.6" PN 6000. The system will be available from mid-November.
