Users of Topcon’s laser scanning solutions can now benefit from the most advanced processing and visualisation technology following the addition of Topcon Europe Positioning to the Pointools European Reseller Network.
Pointools is a suite of software specifically designed for the processing, visualisation, drawing and modelling of point cloud data – the millions of 3D measurements captured by laser scanning instruments, while Topcon offers
a wide range of laser scanning solutions for a number of markets including surveying and construction. It is hoped that the partnership will further secure the dominant position of each party.
“Pointools makes sense of point cloud data and makes the delivery and presentation of information for a wide range of projects a simple process. As the leading manufacturer-independent software Pointools was therefore a ‘perfect partner’ for the outstanding data quality produced by our scanners,” commented Andrew Evans, Topcon Europe Product Specialist. “The fact that Pointools is ‘independent’ goes a long way towards ensuring maximum data interoperability for the Topcon user base.”
“As one of the world’s largest and leading manufacturers of positioning solutions and instruments, offering a complete line up of high tech products for survey and construction industries, Topcon was a natural partner for our continued expansion into the European market,” commented Tony Rogers, co-founder and Director of Pointools Ltd.
