• Océ TDS700 designed with end customer in mind
• Océ CS173 & Océ CS193 outstanding color MFPs

Océ, an international leader in digital document management and printing for professionals, today announced that Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI) has presented the Fall 2008 'Pick of the Year' Award to Océ. BLI is the world’s leading independent evaluator of document imaging products and solutions.

BLI’s semi-annual 'Pick' awards are given to the products that perform the best in BLI’s unique evaluations, which assess a wide range of important performance factors for buyers, including reliability, ease of use, image quality, productivity and value.

The awards reconfirm Océ ongoing commitment to innovation. Over the years, reliability and ease of use have proven to be instrumental in designing products dedicated to the printing industry. This fall, the award winners in the Océ product portfolio are the Océ TDS700 wide-format monochrome MFP and both the Océ CS173 and Océ CS193 segment 2/3 business color MFPs. With BLI’s previous recognition of the Océ CS231, CS240 and CS250, Océ’s complete office color MFP line has now been awarded 'Pick of the Year'.

Océ’s TDS700 with Océ TC4 Scan System offers incomparable ease of use

An exceptional choice for mid-volume technical, engineering and architectural monochrome print applications, BLI’s 'Pick of the Year' for “Outstanding Wide-Format Monochrome MFP” is the 36-inch Océ TDS700 printer configured with the optional Océ TC4 scanner.

Delivering near-flawless reliability and impressive ease of use, “this Océ wide-format printer was obviously designed with the end user in mind,” said Joe Tischner, BLI’s wide-format test specialist. See also: BLI's news release.

The Océ TDS700 is the highest-capacity unit tested by BLI and enables users to produce long unattended print runs, especially when configured with Océ’s optional double-decker stacker.

“We are honored that the Océ TDS700 has been nominated for this prestigious award – echoing the amazing feedback we are receiving from our customers,” said Tom Egelund, Executive Vice President Wide Format Printing Systems at Océ.

Feature rich Océ CS173 and Océ CS193 offer flexible document production and high image quality in Segment 2/3 Color
An outstanding overall performer during its lab test, the Océ CS173 office color MFP ranks among the best in Segment 2 (21-30 ppm). The same holds true for the CS193 office color MFP in segment 3 (31-40 ppm). See also: BLI's news release.

Color productivity and superior image quality in both color and black helped earn the Océ CS193 a Fall 2008 BLI 'Pick' award as 'Outstanding Segment 3 Business Color MFP.'

“We take great pride in receiving two further 'Pick of the Year' awards for outstanding business color MFPs”, said Joost van Rooij, International Marketing Manager, Océ Technologies B.V. “After the previous 'Pick of the Year' Awards won by the Océ CS231/240/250 office color MFP’s, this honorable recognition underlines the strength of our entire office color portfolio.”
