Mouchel award Innogistic contract for Ordnance Survey data management and licensing solution
Following a rigorous supplier selection and due diligence process, consultancy and business services group Mouchel has awarded a major new contract to Innogistic for the delivery of a centralised data management and licensing system for Ordnance Survey (OS) data.
As a contractor to a variety of government departments, agencies, public authorities and utility companies, Mouchel’s current licensing arrangements for Ordnance Survey data operate within the context of numerous diverse government-client-contractor relationships. The new system aims to simplify data management and licensing arrangements at Mouchel, by providing a single centralised portal which integrates a licensing engine with a data storage, management and distribution system. The hub will make the process of ensuring compliance with OS licensing arrangements for each project at Mouchel far more straightforward to manage.
Gareth Nutt, Mouchel’s IT Director and executive sponsor of the project comments:
"Providing simple, compliant and secure access to online data, in a straightforward way, anytime and anywhere, is key to enable Mouchel both to reduce our GIS management costs and allow us to better exploit the benefits of OS Mapping data to add strategic value to our clients"
Jason Jones, GIS Business Manager at Innogistic, comments:
“Mouchel’s decision to award this critical project to Innogistic is a significant endorsement of our leading capabilities in the management of OS MasterMap and geospatial data. This contract is a real milestone for the company.”
Speaking on the decision to award the contract to Innogistic, Bhupinder Sandhu, from Mouchel’s Group IT division comments:
Innogistic fought off some stiff competition from the major GI suppliers in the market. Their combination of innovation, responsiveness and excellent customer care really came through during the selection process. Working with Innogistic is a pleasurable, professional experience.”
