Management service in the UK
ManageMyMobile launch their Device Management service based on the award winning technology provided by Fromdistance.
With a solution designed to let companies remotely manage employees' pda and smartphones in-house without installing an expensive infrastructure. IT departments using the solution can configure, send application updates, lock the device or even wipe it over-the-air if necessary. ManageMyMobile provides self care for the users by overcoming the obstacles that can plague a mobile deployment. In addition to this core functionality ManageMyMobile provide GPS group tracking (track your team and their daily movements) and daily data usage reports based on devices and the applications running on them.
According to Patrick Costello, ManageMyMobile Business Development Director, the launch of this service is in direct response to the growing need "for organisations to be able to manage and support their increasing reliance on wireless technology in the front lines of their business in a cost-effective and time-efficient way".
Jouko Vierumaki, CEO of Fromdistance, comments "following on from our success in the Nordic markets and Southern Europe, the partnership with ManageMyMobile, coupled with the top award from the UK based Device Management Forum’s MIDAS (Managing Innovative Devices and Services) event is truly significant in our aim to be the best remote device management solution in the UK market".
The MIDAS event is held in London 27-29 October 2008.
